Can you believe that May has come and is now leaving so quickly? Come on June…another exciting month for some of us. We’ll be celebrating our 52nd anniversary soon in Cincinnati and staying at a very nice B&B for two nights, plus taking in a Red’s ballgame. Fun time for sure!!!. Also, someone very special is going to be turning 50!!!
We have had a beautiful, sunny, summer-time week and I’m loving it. Yes, it’s gotten hot, had some good rain showers but all in all, it’s been wonderful.
There’s really not much going on around here right now…guess that’s a good thing! We seem to stay busy so each day just flies by. We had some former neighbors over for dinner last night and that was fun. He’s finished up at the seminary and they will be moving to Elizabethtown, KY on Tuesday to work with a church (CMC) there. They are both excited and nervous about this new adventure in their lives and it won’t be easy, I’m sure. We’ll pray that this journey will be good for their family and the people they serve in E’town.
We have made some good friends during our years here in Wilmore but they all seem to move away. We have a couple of couples in far away mission fields now, ministering to people in other areas of the USA, or just with new jobs. We always feel so blessed that we are able to connect with these “YOUNG” couple and they are all so excited about wanting to serve The Lord. What a blessing to live in Wilmore!!!
Guess I’ll get myself together for the day…going to a Gluten Free event at Whole Foods…see how exciting my life is! They are offering samples, which I like so I won’t buy the items that taste terrible. GF food is so expensive and I hate buying stuff you almost gag when eating it ’cause it’s so yucky.
