Some days truly hold more excitement than others. For Daniel, yesterday was one of those days. While he was driving to go see Blake and Grayson play baseball in a nearby city, a doe literally jumped out of the woods right in front of him. Of course, he hit it…killing it instantly while it spun into the woods…and now he has damage to his car. Thankfully, it’s still drivable but bruised. This has been a year of “if it’s expensive to fix, I’m going to break” for the Crockett’s. They have had to have a new roof, the washer went out (pump had a coin stuck in it), water heater had to be replaced, new flooring in laundry room, plus several other things I can currently recall, and now the car will need fixing. Glad they both have good jobs and will be able to continue on. Isn’t life exciting!!!
This Friday we’ll be going to Nashville to see Carter and Lori before the “BIG” party celebrating Buddy’s 50th birthday on Saturday. Also, on the 20th is the birthday of another nephew…Michael…and he’s a really great, fun, loving man. Monday was Linda Lou’s birthday and I got to have a nice long visit with her then. She’s doing well and her back is now mostly pain free and she no longer has to wear the back brace. She’s a sweetie and is having a busy time now getting ready for THE PARTY!. Being part of a large family means we can celebrate someone, or party, most any month. Happy Birthday again Linda Lou…and now let’s all start getting ready to wish Buddy and Michael a very happy birthday. Love you all and looking forward to seeing you this weekend.
Summer has truly arrived and it’s very hot, humid, and dry. Will I complain? NO!!! This isn’t necessarily pleasant while working in the yard, but it sure beats the bitter cold, snow, and ice of winter. Thank you Lord for the changing seasons so we can experience your mighty power.
Not much happening for now but I will say we are BUSY at the “Blue House”. We have had only 2 days without guest so far this month and only a couple of days still open should someone want to visit our area before June is over. July is 2/3 full, and August only has 3 days open. After than life will get back to normal with only about 1/2, or less, of the other months being rented…but we feel certain we’ll get more bookings before this year is over. This avenue has truly been a blessing and we continue to enjoy working “our part-time job” and meeting some very remarkable people.
Time for me to get busy. Stay cool, enjoy this day that The Lord has blessed us with, and let’s all sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to both Buddy and Michael on the 20th…they may prefer a gift but that’s not apt to happen. Love to you all.
Blessings……
