It has really gotten hot the last couple of days…in the low 90’s by day and high 60’s by night…and it’s suppose to continue for several more days. The only redeeming factor is that the humidity has remained rather low so it’s bearable. I’m so glad we didn’t have this kind of heat last week while at camp.Â
Our week is just flying by…it’s Thursday already. We’re looking forward to our nephew, Jim Arnett, coming to visit us on Sunday evening for the night. He’s a UPS pilot and has a layover so he thought he’d just come see us. He used our home in Louisville as his “crash pad” between flights when we lived there since his home is in Nashville that he shares with his sweet wife and two precious children. We always love having him.
Also, on Sunday evening we will begin a “small group Bible study” with our Russian neighbors next door and a friend of theirs. We’re looking forward to this and eager to see just how it will progress. We haven’t met with the Louisville group for some time…summer time is lake time for them so guess it’ll be next fall before they all settle back down. Also, Kyle will be coming here on Monday to spend that week with us. I hate that the Crockett’s will be on vacation that week so he won’t get to spend anytime with them, but we’re running out of time and he wants to come regardless. Ryan will come the next week, then the week of August 3rd, we’re going to Iowa to see Clark, Vanessa, and Lacey, and then school begins on August 12th. so the summer has really just flown by. We haven’t done a lot, but the time has gone by quickly and we’ve about waited too long in getting Kyle and Ryan here. Oh well, we do what we can!
