What a pleasant, cool morning today after an over-the-top day of heat yesterday. I love this season of each year and never tire of the beauty of it all.
Today we get to sing “Happy Birthday” to two special family members. First…Happy Birthday to Allison…Scott’s beautiful wife…and she’s a jewel, the proud mama to the TWINS, and we are so thankful for her…won’t tell her age since she’s a lady. Second…Kyle is turning 18 today and that’s so special…he’s a legal aged adult now…and he is one very special grandson. He works hard at all he attempts and is successful at it all. Happy birthday, Kyle, and you are loved and appreciated for the boy you were, and now for the man you are. Your future will be bright and exciting!!! We have more birthday’s this month, so keep checking so you’ll know who to sing to in the coming days.
Yesterday we met Melissa in Frankfort, KY. to get Madison, and her friend Madalyn, so they could spend a couple of days with us. Madalyn has never been to a small town before and is amazed at the lack of “stuff” that’s here…Madi loves Wilmore and the smallness of it. We’ll have to do some shopping, of course, visit a horse farm, and attend the Wilmore 4th of July parade…this is fun and so very “small town”…and not sure what will get done after that. All I know is that I won’t be bored and it will all be interesting…maybe even exhausting at times! I do love spending time with the grandkids so it’s all good.
The “blue house” is keeping us very busy and for that we are both thankful and blessed. We’re still loving our part-time job so all is well with that.
