Well, our time with Jim has come and gone and it was so good having him again. As he said…”It’s like old times”…he was our frequent guest when we lived in Louisville. He’s certainly easy to have around and makes our home his home while here so the no fuss rule applies with him.
Our worship time with our Russian neighbors went well in spite of the language difficulties. I know that will get better as we grow in our fellowship together and as friends. They both love the Lord and were converted while living in Russia. We’re hoping to recruit more people to join us which should make it somewhat easier. Jim was here with us but no one else…just the four of us and we definitely need more people here.
We’ll be going to Frankfort in a little while to pick up Ryan for the week…about a 45 minute drive, maybe less, so it’s a good meeting place. It’s blistering hot so not sure just what we’ll do all week. One project that’s been mentioned is to make him a loft bed. George has the plans and the equipment so that should work out for them while I continue reading or crocheting. Sounds like a good plan to me!!!
Continue to pray for Don, Donna, Dee, and Daren Johnson as they said their last good-byes to Wanda today. She will be missed as she was very involved in the kids lives and had been Don’s wife for 47 or 48 years. Sudden death is so hard but I’m thankful she didn’t have something like cancer and died a little more each day. Death isn’t a bad thing for a Christian, just a sad thing for the family.
Enjoy the day…Stay cool!!!
Blessings………
