Happy, happy to Linda Joyce…

You guessed it…today is another day of celebrating a couple of birthdays.  First…my sister, Linda, is celebrating her special day with her family and, I know, having a blast.  Not only do they get to celebrate her, but they are also celebrating one of her granddaughter’s birthdays…Sadie…the second birthday for today.  What a special gift Linda received that year.  Happy, happy, happy birthday to you both and may this new year be one of great happiness, good health, and rest…for the oldest one.

Summer is ever so slowly inching it’s way back into the Bluegrass and that’s OK since it’ll help the orka to grow better…not than many grow it around here but for those that do, we want to keep it coming.  This summer has been a different one and we’ve set several below average records!  Makes me have concerns for the coldness we might get this winter.  Oh well, we’ll be in Florida for two months so we’ll miss a big chunk of the cold…thankfully.

Not a whole lot going on for now but I will be going to Abilene on the 11th to help in getting all the remaining items from the folks estate taken care of…sold, given, or tossed…and it may get a little emotional.  This will be sad seeing how little we value some of the things they valued.  This will also be the same with our stuff when it’s time for us.  We’ve mentioned giving some things to some of our kids and they all say NO or LATER…we all have to much stuff and feel we have little room for more that’s not important to us.

I am looking forward to seeing Ron and Jean Like this coming Saturday.  They are so special to us and we appreciate each visit we’re able to have with them when they come to KY to visit some of their kids.

We went to see Grayson play ball this afternoon and they, unfortunately, came up one run short in overtime.  Great season overall and we’ll expect another one to be even better next year.

Have a great week and we’ll do our best to do the same.  We have the joy of cleaning the “blue house” three times this week so that’s a good indicator that our business is thriving.  August is especially full…only 3 days not being used…and September is over 1/2 full then we’ll rest for the most part the remainder of the year.  We do have guest every month…just not continuous back to backs.  Love our part time job!

Again…Happy Birthday to my ever-so-sweet sister.  Growing up, she was the pretty one with the dimples and curly hair…I was the plain one with straight hair and no dimples.  Oh well, it’s what comes from the heart so, we’re both beautiful now!!!  Love to you all.

Blessings……
