My siblings and I have now completed two full days of sorting through boxes, and boxes, of stuff that our parents accumulated for the last 74 1/2 years and all I can say is…do your kids a favor and “THROW AWAY YOUR STUFF NOW” Where they were able to keep all that stuff in their apartment at the University Place is a mystery. An even bigger mystery is why they kept a lot of it?
It’s hot in Abilene and we’re all ready for this packing to end and get back to what our lives consist of each day. We just left several items with a couple of consignment stores…since we knew they were worth more than we could possible get at a yard sale…and we’ll patiently wait for them to all sale.
Patsy left yesterday to go to Kentucky to help her good friend deal with the loss of her husband due to a suicide, spend some time with her mother who is gravely ill and soon to enter her eternal reward, all while trying to survive all the stresses that have gone on the last few months. Please pray for her and all her family.
Got to get back to work so I’ll be back once I get back to KY tomorrow. Love to all.

P.S. We are finished doing what we came to do and we are pooped but still speaking!!! We’ve had fun, worked hard, and I promise to get rid of even more junk of mine once I get home and rested. These final days of closure have been emotional, funny at times, but a reminder of what family is all about.
