Happy Labor Day Everyone!!!For those of you that are enjoying a day off from work today…may this day be a restful one, filled with good memories of great experiences while working, and a delicious burger right off your grill. We did our celebrating on Saturday and, yes, we had burgers, along with hot dogs, off the grill that were delicious…along with lots of side dishes. We were blessed to have Scott and his family along with Tanya and her family here.;Carter, Clark, and Melissa were not able to come because of other obligations so they missed out on all the fun! Sorry, guys, but maybe another time.
Neyland and Turner were so much fun and are so adorable.Being four and a half is a good age! Saturday we went to Our Friends horse park and they seem to have thought that was fun…this is where race horses go to retire. They got to feed the horses and Neyland even got to race one. Not really a fair race since the horse had four legs, more experience, and was just playing! Neyland thought it was great fun just to run with it though. We were busy most of the time they were here, so it seems really quiet now that they are headed back home. The boys are so good and they had great fun playing baseball with Blake and Grayson. They all have a great love for baseball so they couldn’t get enough of it…both inside and outside of the house! Neyland has all the indications of being an artist and loves to color so he does have some quiet time occasionally. Turner has a great sense of humor and loves to entertain. He reminded me of myself at breakfast this morning when he couldn’t stop laughing. I have many memories of being excused from the table because I couldn’t stop laughing. I’ve always thought laughing had a more pleasant ring to it than crying!
Not much news so guess I’ll get back to my knitting. My left shoulder is acting up so I can’t knit very long at a time, but I sure enjoy doing that when I can. Have a safe holiday and another great week. We’re going to Gatlinburg for a couple of days and really looking forward to that…been years since we’ve been to the mountains. Love to you all.
Blessings……
