One down, one to go…

George went back for a final checkup on his right eye yesterday, and the cataract surgery was a success!  He no longer needs glasses for that eye, except for reading, and is scheduled to have his left eye done on November 20th.  The recovery time is rather quick and the vision improvement was immediate.  Thank God he did so well and now to finish up all those 3 a day drops.

We are having some absolutely gorgeous fall weather and for that we are very thankful.  Our summer had some HOT days but all in all, we had a very enjoyable summer.  People keep saying this coming winter is going to be worse than last winter so that’s scary!  Last year was one of the worse for cold here in Kentucky so I’m glad we’re going to miss most of this winter.  I saw a report where Florida is expected to be cooler than normal but, whatever, it’ll be better than Kentucky.

The blue house has started slowing down so that’s giving us a lot more what-do-I-do-today time.  We don’t have much of anything booked after October so we’ll really have lots of free time.  Oh well, guess that means more knitting for me and more woodworking for George.  We both like to read, so that’s always an option.

Not much going on so guess I’ll find something to do before I go walk with my neighbor.  I’m back in the groove of walking…but she walks quite a bit slower than I do…and I’m hoping I’ll tone up a bit even at this slower pace.  Getting out of shape is so much easier than getting back in it and exercise has never been at the top of my list of favorite things to do each day.

Have a great week-end, do something for fun, and watch God work at changing our world into a lot of amazing colors!  Love to you all.

Blessings……
