Enjoying these last few days….

This past weekend we got to spend time with Linda and Jim…my sister and brother-in-law…at Lake Cumberland, KY.  The guys were hoping to catch some fish, but that didn’t happen, while Linda and I just enjoyed being together while watching them fish.  The area was very remote, all the little towns close by were not very exciting, the wind was very strong, but the sun was shining.  We did have a good time and I’m thankful we were able to spend those two days together.

Last night we had our grandson Chance, and his fiancé Emily, over for chili and to give them their wedding gift from us.  We, also, had a fire in the fire pit and made smores for our dessert with all the Crockett’s.  It was a good evening of getting to know them better and we look forward to getting to see them more often.  They will be married on November 7th and we pray they will have many happy years together.

It continues to be quite cool here…about 10 degrees below normal…so they may be right that winter will arrive early, be brutal, and last longer.  We’ll be gone for two months of that and we…maybe just me…couldn’t be happier!  I do not like cold!  It is pretty currently with the trees turning colors, but the leaves are falling so fast that this beauty won’t last long.

Not much else happening for now so I guess I can say…All is well with the Ezell’s!!!  George’s eye is completely healed and they have decided he doesn’t need the other eye done for now…guess that’s good but it will mean he’ll be back to wearing glasses some.  My left shoulder is still wanting attention and keeping me from knitting so that’s got to end…I have two sweaters in process of being completed and not able to finish either one.  Victoria, our niece, starts her new job this week and know that’s exciting for them and I pray it will be a good fit for both of them in Gonzales, TX.

Enjoy the rest of the week and we’ll do our best to do the same.  Love to each of you.

Blessings…….
