Today is a day most children look forward to each year. They get to dress up in their favorite costume, receive a bucket full of candy and treats, and just have fun! Unfortunately Central Kentucky did not get the notice….it’s raining, cold, and miserable outside and wearing a heavy coat is less than ideal. How can anyone see who you are in that cute costume with a coat on? Hopefully it will clear up some so that the Wilmore festivities can take place this evening. Last year, Halloween was delayed for one day due to heavy rain and flooding. Regardless…Happy Halloween to all the kids and may you enjoy some part of today in spite of the weather.
George and Daniel have had a fun couple of days fishing and they both caught a lot. Daniel caught a BIG bass and he has a picture to prove it! George caught a BIG Crappy and Daniel has a picture on his phone to prove that. They caught several more so we’ll be having a fish fry (bake) before long. Glad they had so much fun but I was glad when my hubby got home. George said the weather was cool in the mornings but the sun was out so that made it all OK, the fall foliage was beautiful, the guide was talkative but knew where to take them, and the fish were biting. Therefore, the trip was a success!!!
It’s amazing just how fast October flew by and winter is quickly settling in. It won’t be long before we’ll be thinking about all the stuff we’ll be taking to Florida…now that is a happy thought! I always miss home while we’re there, but I NEVER miss the cold and snow of home. Guess that shows my age and that life really is flying by so quickly.
November will be a good month…Chance and Emily are getting married and most of our family will be here for Thanksgiving. Not all are able to be here due to various reasons, but we’ll be enjoying the 23 that will be here. Sure will be crowded and loud in this little house, but we’re expecting it to be a great day, with lots of great food, and making lots of HAPPY memories. I love the family and I’m so looking forward to that day!
