Our lives were changed for the better 52 years ago today when we were blessed with Joe Carter Ezell! We were quite young, first time parents, that knew very little about raising a baby but what a blessed ride it has been. Carter is a hard working man that loves family…especially his two boys…and has always been a hard worker. It’s so hard to be the first born because that’s the one new parents learn on…your perfect child in your unexperienced eyes. He always wanted to see that his siblings did right and stayed out of trouble…the reason for the second father image they have talked about through the years. I thank the Lord often for you, Carter, and I pray for you often. May this birthday be a special one and bring you lots of joy and peace this year. I love you more than you’ll ever imagine and so proud of the man you are today. Happy, happy birthday!!!
Another gloomy day here in central Kentucky. We did see the sun briefly this past Sunday and it was wonderful! The absence of sunshine can sure affect one’s attitude. It won’t be long before we’ll be in Florida and praying the sun will shine every day while we are there. We’ll be glad for just warmer days! Winter is my least favorite season but the thought of spring working it’s way here makes it bearable, I guess.
Blake got hurt at basketball practice yesterday and may have broken his ankle. He’s going back to see an orthopedic doctor later this morning. The ER said it was possible that he had fractured on of the little bones there, but they wanted to have this second opinion today. All I know at this point is he’s in pain, has a swollen ankle, has been told to put NO weight on it, and is bummed if he can’t finish his season with his basketball team…they are doing great this season and he’s one of the star players!
Everyone be wishing Carter a Happy Birthday and shower him with a lot of love. Have a great hump day and I’ll be back soon. Love to all reading this…especially to Carter.
Blessings…….
