I’ll be leaving within the hour to head to Clift Falls Resort in Madison, IN for our annual ladies retreat. If it’s like most years, it will be a very uplifting and spiritually rewarding time with about 55 women attending. Time away from all the responsibilities of work, home, and family is certainly a time to reflect on God and how gracious He is to each of us each day, regardless of our circumstances. I’ll write more on this event next week.
George will be running the second leg of the triple crown races tomorrow. This race is 10.2 miles, I think, and the weather will be rather cool…which is a good thing according to George. I guess you run better if you don’t have to deal with the heat. The next race will be a mini, 13.2 miles, and that kicks off all the Derby events. I can’t imagine thinking this is fun! He, along with thousands of others, really enjoy punishing themselves to the max. I won’t even go watch them finish when it’s cold…but I will walk on my treadmill!
Have a blessed weekend and look for all the ways God will be revealing Himself to you. If we’d only slow down and look we can sure see amazing things each and every day.
Blessings…
I learned from your blog that Louisville is close to In. Did not know this. Or I didn’t realize it was so close. I looked it up in our road atlas and Clift Falls was right there, not far from Louisville. So now I know!!
Hope you had a good weekend. I have always enjoyed our ladies retreat too, but not going this year.
Looking forward to Monday and getting my first shot. I can’t do anything for 3 days so guess ole Donnie boy will have to work!! HA!
Woke up to snow this morning, ugh!! All the other had just about gone. Oh well, can’t last forever. Nothing does, but eternity.
Love ya, wj
