Ballgames galore….

Yesterday was the day of non stop college football games.  Unfortunately, the teams we liked the best failed to shine…especially ALABAMA.  George was so disappointed but he’ll get over it ’cause there’s always next year.

We have yet to see a day of complete sunshine here in Florida, but we are very thankful for the warmer temperatures we are enjoying.  Next week it’s going to be a week of yo-yo temperatures and we’ll be ready for whatever we get.  Of course, when we check the weather at home, we have zero reason to complain.

Our place here is very, very small but quite adequate.  Each year at church we select a word to remember, and reflect on, and Tanya suggested our word for this year might be “simplify”.  It is amazing how we can adapt to having LESS and still be able to function quite well.

We are getting back into the habit of walking each day and that’s been good.  I’ve only gotten in my 10,000 + steps for one day only the one time…came very close on several other days…but I feel sure that, too, will get better.  Whatever I get is better than the small amount I was walking at home.  I like to walk but I won’t walk when it’s bitter cold…at least that’s my excuse…but that excuse won’t work down here.

Life is very interesting around here with all the “snow birds”  We stopped at a Publix supermarket on New Year’s eve and this is what we saw in the parking lot where a police officer was directing traffic…

Well, the sun is once again shining so guess I need to get out of the house.  Have a good day, stay warm, and may this new year be the best one ever.  Love to you all.

Blessings….
