Yesterday we had an excellent day here in sunny Florida…at least it was sunny yesterday. We went to Sunday school and church…that was good…then we went to lunch with two of our couple friends from there, both elders of that congregation. It was fun catching up with them and hearing about all that’s been going on with them the last couple of years. We only attended there one time last January and one couple was on vacation so we had a lot to catch up on. We all went to eat at a Chinese restaurant and enjoyed that…I love Chinese food. We’ll be spending more time with them these two months while we are here and having fun making more memories.
The afternoon was spent fishing on the dock and I have yet to land a fish. I caught a big one the other day, but since my hook was evidently fastened with a SLIP knot, it got away. I did catch one yesterday…have not a clue what it was…but it got off the hook as I was bringing it out of the water. George had gone for more bait and wasn’t here to witness this, so I guess that one doesn’t count either. It was a nice size but no where close to being as large as the red fish George caught the day before. Oh well, since we do the catch and release style of fishing, I guess I just released mine early…didn’t have to touch it which is always a good thing! No fishy smell on the fingers.
Last evening we went to the beach to walk then watch the sunset. The walk was fun but the sunset was nothing to brag about other than it was good to be there and do that! We, hopefully, will do that often since walking on the beach is way more fun than walking in the neighborhood!
