Although I said on the 12th that was the day of my mother’s death, I was WRONG and I really know she died on the 21st…dad died on the 12th of April. Guess there really is something to having a rather serious senior moment. With all that cleared up…today is the day we got that very early phone call telling us that mom was gone and the pain of knowing we were over 1,000 miles away caused me even more sadness. I know none of us knew she was going home that night, but I still grieve that she had no family with her when she left so quickly. I miss her so much but thankful she is free of the extreme pain she had been in those last few months of her life. Rest sweet mother rest!
It’s an absolutely beautiful day here today in Sarasota. It’s in the mid 70’s with lots of sunshine and a very mild breeze. I guess we’ll be joining the 1,000’s at the beach in a bit but that would mean we’d have to move! We have gotten our walk in and that was good…got really hot, though…and now we just have to decide what to do until we meet some friends around 5.
Not much news so guess I’ll close for now. Have a good hump day and glad most of you have had some relief from the bitter cold…even though it’ll be back soon. Love to you all!
