Yesterday, Tuesday, we got to spend the day with our daughter-in-law, Lori, and later have dinner with Carter…I might add it was a very nice restaurant and the food was delicious. While Carter was working, Lori, George, and I went to the Ringing Brothers Circus Museum and that was, again, enjoyable. The grounds where the mansion sets is absolutely gorgeous. We still marvel at the details of the carved pieces that illustrate every detail of what was involved in setting up the tents, etc. and presenting the circus. If any of you reading this are ever in Sarasota, it must be on your bucket list. Well worth the time.
Once we left the museum, we went over to St. Armands for lunch and to do a little shopping. Lori even found herself the perfect T-shirt! We left that area, but before we made it home, we made another quick T-shirt stop in Siesta Keys for another perfect shirt for Lori, and for Carter. Next, we made a very quick stop at the Siesta Key beach to show her the beauty found there, but we didn’t stay but a couple of minutes…cool and very windy. We finally ended up back at our place for a few minutes before we headed out again to meet Carter. The day was full but we enjoyed being with a couple of our kids and thank them for taking the time to be with us. Love them!
Today we will be meeting Ron and Jean to go see the movie “American Sniper” and then enjoy a late lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in Venice. George thinks they have the BEST fried oysters in the world. I wouldn’t know as I don’t eat them. Tomorrow we’re having lunch with some other friends, again in Venice, and know that will be enjoyable, too. We’ll be with Teresa for lunch on Saturday, if that can be worked out…she may be going to the funeral of her friends mother…but we’ll know more about this later. If we don’t see her Saturday, we will catch up with her before we leave. We have a busier social life here that we do at home! lol
Guess that’s about it for now. We are having some beautiful, sunny days but it would be better if we could get a little warmer. It’s been down in the 40’s at night and only in the mid to upper 60’s on most days with lots of wind…makes the beach rather chilly! Whatever we have here, is so much better than what’s going on at home. Stay warm, healthy, and content. Love to you all.
Blessings…..
