Turning another year older was a treat! I had an amazing birthday and I appreciated every minute of it. It began on Saturday the 7th…we went to the beach on an absolutely perfect day, had a special dinner that evening at Ruth Chris’s Steak House, then went to see “The Piano Guys”. Should any of you have an opportunity to see these guys in concert, please take advantage of seeing them. THEY WERE FABULOUS!!! Then on Sunday, my real birthday, we went to church, ate again at Cosimo’s restaurant, headed back to the beach…another perfect day to have been there…and finished our day watching “Downton Abbey”…one of our favorite shows. I received many, many compliments, wishes, and love through Face Book…and that was truly surprising and amazing…along with phone calls and e-mails. Thanks to all that remembered me and I love you all.
Today we celebrate Marjorie’s birthday…Chipper’s wife and George’s sister-in-law…and hope she’ll have a good day and be celebrated like I was. Happy birthday, Margie…even though you won’t see this. You know we are thinking of you so guess that’s all that counts.
We did receive some very sad news on Saturday that one of our good friends had died due to a massive heart attack. Gene Cash was a jewel of a man and a wonderful friend for over 40 years. He will certainly be missed by all that knew him, and loved him. We will all miss his wonderful Derby parties he put on for so many years, but, we’ll just miss his presence the most. Rest in peace sweet man and may God comfort Mary as only He can do.
The sun is shinning again and it’s time to go for my walk, so guess I’d better get moving. Our time is going by so fast and we’ll be home to the cold soon but that’s OK ’cause we’ll be HOME. Love to all reading this.
Blessings…..
