Come on spring…

I am so ready for warm days/nights but, for whatever reason, spring refuses to stay with us.  We got up this morning to a balmy 33 and that’s way to cold for these old bones.  We do have trees budding, flowers popping up, and a hint of green to the grass so we have great expectations that Spring will actually arrive.

Yesterday we said our final goodbye to Dr. Gallaway with a very thoughtful service …I might add, one he prepared…in the chapel at the seminary.  He was a good man and his presence will be missed, but we are thankful for his walk with the Lord and all he meant to so many people.  Thank you, Lord, for putting Ira Gallaway in our life.

We are headed to Louisville today to see some friends that lost their spouses while we were in Florida, catch a few minutes with the Gabeharts, and to watch Tyler play baseball.  We’re packing a lot into this one day, but with the busy schedules of everyone, it appears to be all or none for us.  Tyler is only a freshman, plays on the varsity team, and will be the starting pitcher tonight.  That’s quite an accomplishment!

Not much else going on with us…except getting the “blue house” back in shape this week.  We’ve had guest staying there nearly everyday since we got home from Florida…a good thing…and I’m sure getting the bug to start planting some flowers, etc.  It’s still to cold and I will wait patiently…well, maybe not so patiently with our crazy weather…since I don’t want to plant flowers twice like I did last year.  Therefore, I just may get some crocheting done this week.  I have several things I want to make but I can’t seem to get  motivated to do them.  Oh well, they will get done eventually.

Have a great week and enjoy any, and all, sunshine that comes your way.  Love to all!

Blessings……
