The week is almost over

Another week has all but come and gone and we still have the west side of the house to paint…it’s been just to hot to paint the last several days.  George has been really busy getting some bunk beds made for Blake and Grayson’s room so it’s not been a week of rest.  He enjoys his “little workshop” out in the carriage house and is getting quite good at creating things.  I’m sure he’ll have some pictures of these beds once they are completed.  Notice I didn’t mention anything productive being done by me.  Well, I really didn’t do anything productive this week because I’m getting over bronchitis…that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

The Ashbury students are back so we are no longer a “sleepy” little town.  It’s amazing what several hundred students can do for a town this size.  The seminary students will start back September 2 so that will create even more activity around here.  We seldom hear anything that might be going on on campus but the traffic does pick up and the parking spaces get filled up quicker.  Of course, when it’s not so hot parking isn’t a problem because I usually walk wherever I need to go…another small town benefit!

Enjoy your weekend…stay cool – it’s really HOT in Wilmore…stay dry for those in Texas and Florida…we’ll continue to pray for rain for KY and TN…and remember Barbara Johnson’s words of wisdom “We’re not put on this earth to see through each other, but to see each other through.”

Blessings………
