We just got home from going to Andrew’s open house and it was a very nice affair…enough food, desserts, etc. for hundreds more.  We had to go to Elizabethtown, KY…about 1 1/2 hour drive from here…and it was well worth it. Andrew looks great and has improved so much since we last saw him in September. He still has quite a ways to go but he is certainly a miracle in the flesh. They are hoping to get him into a facility here in Lexington but, as usual, the insurance is a problem. He’s currently in the Dallas area and Lexington would sure be better for his family to stay connected to him. George took his camera to take pictures, but his battery was dead. Therefore, no pictures! We were disappointed because we wanted everyone to see how handsome he is and how well he looks. Oh well, maybe on our next visit!
Well, the Olympics are closing tonight and I can honestly say that’s a good thing. I’ve enjoyed them but I’m also ready for them to be over. There’s a lot of dedicated athletes around our world, and I admire each one for the time they invest in becoming the best in the world!
Not sure just what we’ll accomplish this week but I’m sure each day will be filled doing something productive. I do hope it cools off some this week since we plan to get the outside painting done. Our house really is looking good and is quite comfortable. It’s small so it doesn’t take a lot of time to clean…besides that’s not at the top of my to-do list anymore…and just right for George and Me.
May your week be filled with God’s goodness and grace.
Blessings……
