I was blessed with a very enjoyable mother’s day and was truly celebrated. We began the day by having breakfast at a Lexington restaurant with the Crockett’s…very nice, I might add…went to church and we had an outstanding service, received calls from all our children…especially sweet notes from the three daughters-in-law, given some gifts…thank you very much…, a steak dinner that evening, and the sun was shining all day. I love our family and I’m so thankful for each person in it. Mother’s day was special for me, but I still had an ache in my heart for my own sweet mother and mother-in-law. How I’d love to have talked with them yesterday.
This will be another busy week keeping up with the “blue house” as we have guest every day…lots of towels and sheets will be washed this week. In fact, this is going to be a very busy summer and we are ever so thankful. People are learning to book early and/or requesting to be put on a wait list…which we really don’t do…so we already have booking into 2016. Sure hope all the kids graduate on time!
Going to be a hot, humid, hazy day in central KY today…much better than the bitter cold, snow, and wind chill of winter. After today, it will cool down and we can turn the AC off again and enjoy the fresh air in the house. When it’s in the upper 80’s with a humidity level of 84% the AC will be running.
We had an enjoyable evening with the Crockett’s on Saturday night along with our grandson Chance and his wife Emily. They are so sweet, but like most people, they are so busy just living life that we don’t see them often. She’ll be going back to school the end of this month so they are about to get even more busy.
Time to get in gear and head over to the “blue house” so we can get it all back together for our next guest coming in this afternoon. Enjoy the week and know you are all loved by me!
Blessings…..
