Happy Anniversary to US…

After 53 years of marriage, I am still amazed at this marvelous man I’ve been able to share my life with.  We have had many ups and downs through the years, but we have always managed…with God’s help…to hang in there and stay on our marriage track.  I love you, George, and I am so blessed to be your wife, best friend, and lover all these many years.

This last week was a week of baseball and oh what fun we had.  Our high school…West Jessamine High…was competing for the state championship and they won it all.  They played amazing on both offense and defense, and won by a bunch each game.  Congrats to them and we’ll look forward to watching Blake play with them next season as he enters high school.  Then on Sunday, we drove to Cincinnati to watch the Reds win a game…that’s right, they actually won!  A beautiful day, great seats, and lots of fun.

This morning we left home around 6:45 and headed to Louisville for Kyle’s graduation.  We allowed plenty of time because of the construction, work traffic, and event parking and got there with about 15 minutes to spare…should have only taken about 1 1/2 hours to get there…so we were glad we allowed those extra minutes.  The graduation went well and Kyle is so ready to head to Western Kentucky University!  He graduated as one of 16 qualified valedictorians, earned lots of honors, and was the best looking one there.  Congrats again to KYLE!  I sure love this guy and he’ll do well in college.

We are now getting some R & R at a very nice B & B in Burlington, KY…been here twice before…and going to be watching the rain here in a little bit.  It rained on our last visit so I guess we need to advertise that we’ll bring the rain should we get to stay with you!  We have no set schedule so we’ll just do whatever, whenever the spirit moves us to do so these next two days.  We’ll be back home Wednesday afternoon.  On Saturday the 13th, we’ll be back in Louisville for Kyle’s party and Linda/Jim will come back with us for just one night…they stay busy, too.  I might add that we were in Louisville on Thursday the 4th for Madi’s graduation and it was a LONG ceremony but a good one for her.  It’s good we’re close enough to be able to run back and forth to be a part of the kids lives.  We, also, attended Blake’s graduation on the 27th of May and he, too, did very well and is looking forward to being in high school this next year.

Today we learned that Tyler was given a trophy for being the top freshman ball player on his high school team and that made him happy.  The three boys…Blake, Tyler, and Grayson…all excelled in baseball this year and Blake and Tyler are now on travel teams that go lots of places to play ball.  I’m glad all our boys played ball but I’m glad none of them were on a travel team.  Regardless, I’m proud of you Tyler on winning this award and I do know you are a great ball player!  Keep hitting those long balls and the occasional “over the fence” home runs.

Time for me to get some R & R so I’ll be back once we get back home.  Congrats again to Kyle, Blake, and Madi for graduating, and to Tyler for being such a serious ball player…now get back to your piano!  Love to all.

Blessings…..
