Happy July….

I realize that time goes by much faster as we mature, but June just flew by and I don’t feel all that OLD.  Well, I do some days but not today.  June was a very busy month at the “blue house” and we had guest on almost every day.  In fact the ones leaving today have already booked a week for next June…as did the family that was there before them and they booked 15 days!  Therefore, June of 2016 is going to be another busy month.

We were blessed to have Tyler come stay with us for a couple of day this week and he’s so easy to have around.  He arrived at our house Sunday night around midnight…played in a baseball tournament in Indiana prior to coming here and his team won it all…and he was in a baseball showcase in Lexington starting at 9 a.m. Monday morning.  Monday was an all day event of showing off your skills…George went with him while I stayed home to do whatever I was inspired to do which meant, NOT MUCH.  Tuesday they put teams together and he played baseball…well sort of…again showing off his skills at the plate, base running, and finally pitching.  Tyler did well and then went home with his mom and dad after his final game…even though we had hoped he could stay longer.  He had a dermatologist appointment today and didn’t want to miss it.

Baseball is a year around sport for Blake, Tyler, and Grayson and they love everything about it.  Personally, I’d get a little tired of all that’s involved if I had to do all they do but both families are making sacrifices so the boys can play.  Glad that was never an option when our boys were growing up.

We have enjoyed some really nice days lately and it’s suppose to continue for awhile…no AC so that’s always good in my book.  We did have some rather severe storms late Monday afternoon and a lot of trees were either “trimmed” or uprooted.  In fact, a huge tree fell on the four plex next door to the “blue house” but didn’t do an extensive amount of damage.  The roof will need some repairs, along with the gutters, but they were very fortunate to not have gotten more damage.

Guess that’s about it for now.  We have several birthdays this week and I’ll write about those on the “special” days.  Have a great week, stay safe on the 4th, and know you are loved by me.

Blessings……
