We had an amazing sunset last evening and had great hopes of seeing the lunar eclipse. That’s all we ended up with…hope! As the moon began to rise, the clouds rolled in and we never saw the moon again last night. From the pictures we’ve seen, it was amazing and I’m sorry we missed it.
Tomorrow will be my second cataract surgery…on my “reading” eye since I will again have mono vision…and I will be glad to get this all behind me. The three days of putting a gel in your eye four times a day and then trying to read something is not fun. Of course, I’m still putting drops in the “fixed” eye four times a day but that will decrease to two a day starting tomorrow. I’ll be on four a day for my “reading” eye the next two weeks but in four more weeks this will all be over and done with. Thank goodness.
Since I last posted…we made a trip back down to Bowling Green to see Kyle during his family weekend and that was fun. We went to the WKU-Miami football game and it was very one sided with WKU winning by a wide margin. The campus is really nice and Kyle is really beginning to like being there. It’s been a little hard adjusting to all the changes, but he’s doing fine now. His room is very small…especially with two guys living in there…but they have made the best use of the limited space and have adapted.
Yesterday we had another great day of worship with the church plant, along with LOTS of first time visitors from the community. Our goal is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people of Jessamine county, and not just another church down the block. Each week, 51% of the contribution will be given to help someone else, or some organization that serve people in need, and I really think this is how the Lord wants us to be. We will continue to pray that we are serving God, and not ourselves, as we journey through this life.
Have a great week, enjoy the beauty of the changing of the seasons, and get out and start raking those leaves. Raking the leaves will get you in shape for shoveling the snow this winter while we’re basking on the beach in Florida. Love to you all.
Blessings…..
