Now that was fun…

On Friday morning George and I headed out to Byrdstown, TN. to meet Linda and Jim for a few days to be together.  We were in a cabin on the Wolf River and it was a beautiful setting…this was about a 2 1/2 hours drive for each of us.  The guys did some fishing…caught small mouth and red eye fish…while Linda and I got caught up on talking and reading.  There are certainly no “fine dining” restaurants near by…or anything else for that matter…but we did manage to find some fairly decent restaurants for lunch and dinner each day…all were quite a drive from the cabin.  We had deer in the yard this morning, saw an otter running along the river bed, Jim talked to an owl, and Jim also saw some wild turkeys.  Of course with the changing of the seasons, the days were cool while the nights were cold and the trees were changing colors.  I think sitting around the campfires and seeing the thousands of stars…saw some shooting ones…and discussing how God is at work within each of us was priceless.   Thanks Linda and Jim and let’s do this again in the spring.

Tomorrow will be another “clean the ‘blue house'” day as we had guest leave this morning and more coming in on Wednesday.   Therefore, tonight has been a “wash lots of sheets/towels and clothes sorta night” since we won’t be home on Tuesday.  This whole month will be a “wash a lot of sheets/towels” month and for that I’m thankful!  Keep the fun time monies coming in!

Tuesday we will be going to Louisville and we’re looking forward to seeing how much Jesse has grown since we last saw him.  We’ll also see Tyler play in his last fall baseball game.  He hit a out-of-the-park home run today so I’m hoping he’ll do that again Tuesday evening.  Also, expecting to see Ryan, Courtney, Madi, Melissa, and Byron.

Last week we had some former seminarian neighbors visit with us for a few days and that was fun.  They have spent the last two years in Korea and are now back in the USA with their baby Silas.  We’re anxious to see where their next mission field will be.  This week we’re having some additional seminarian neighbors stay with us for four days…they were in Hawaii but are now in Colorado.  It has been a joy for us to be able to stay connected to these kids that are all so special to us.  Thanks Brad, Maranda, and Silas for coming our way and we’ll be praying for God to reveal his new directions for your lives.  Now to get ready for Craig, Jenny, and Jude.

Have a good week and enjoy these last warm days…well almost warm days…before the seasons change to COLD.  Now back to the laundry!!!!  Love to you all that read my ramblings!

Blessings….
