Here we sit…..

It was just about time for the World Series to begin when we hear a “BOOM” and then total darkness.  We round up a few candles, find a flash light…and it actually worked…, and wait while we listen to the ballgame on George’s phone.  The power people got right on it and we are now back to having lights, electronics, and the World Series.  Now the ballgame is having technical difficulties.  Maybe we aren’t suppose to be watching this game?  Regardless…Go ROYALS!

We had a great weekend this past weekend.  A second round of “former” seminary neighbors that adopted us while here, came to town and stayed with us for four days.  They have a really cute little boy, Jude, that’s about 22 months old and he’s so BUSY.  He really is well behaved for a two year old, but did I mention, so very BUSY.  Craig and Jenny would sure love to come back to KY, as do most couples that come back to our area, but for now they must remain in Colorado if they want to eat, etc.  Wilmore is such a quaint town, comfortable, friendly and unlike most bigger cities that many want to live here and many do come here to retire.

I have my final eye exam in the morning and everything still seems to be doing A-OK and I will be very glad to finish the drops in just four more days.  I see really well and don’t need glasses or contacts any longer, but I do have some difficulty reading the first thing in the mornings so I use some readers then.  That’s about the only time I seem to need any help but that’s not a big deal, so I’m thrilled with the results of having had cataract surgery.

The fall weather has finally arrived here along with lots of rain.  Last week it was beautiful every day and I really did like that a lot better than all this cold, rain, and gloom.  Oh well, won’t be long before we head to the beach so I will survive.

Guess that’s about it for now.  Please pray for Blake and Grayson as they are both sick…foot/mouth disease which means a very sore throat and a mouth full of blisters.  Grayson also has an abscessed tooth and will see an oral surgeon later this week.  Branden is planning on moving at some point to California with a friend and I wish him much success in this newest adventure.  As far as I know, all others are doing well and school is going well for all of them…at least that’s what I want to believe.

Have a great week, stay warm and healthy, and enjoy that extra hour of sleep this coming Sunday.  Love to you all.

Blessings……
