Just a few more days and we’ll be headed to Kansas. We will leave home on Sunday and arrive in Kansas City sometime that evening to spend a couple of nights with our friends, Ron and Jean Like. They are so sweet and fun to be with so we know that will be a fun time. Then on Tuesday morning, we’ll head to Wichita to spend Thanksgiving with Clark and Vanessa. This will be our first time in their new home and we’re looking forward to being with them for a few days…Carter and Lori, along with Vanessa’s parents, will be there, too, so another fun time is expected. It seems unreal that’s it’s time for Thanksgiving and that 2015 is rapidly coming to an end. We’ll be back home from Kansas on either Saturday, or Sunday, night and pray all our travels will be uneventful. I love being with family, and friends, so this is a treasured time for me.
I’m looking forward to going to Florida now that it’s getting rather cold here in KY. We’ve already had frost that killed all the flowers, dreary sunless days, gloom, and now they’re predicting the possibility of snow flurries this week-end. Yup…it’s time to start thinking about spending time on the sunny beach!
Again, not much happening here this week. We did go to Louisville this past Sunday and that was fun…friends had a baby shower for Jesse and he got lots of great stuff. Tuesday we went to Jerod’s last home high school academic meet and they stomped their opposing team…those guys are all super smart! Tonight we’ll go watch Grayson play basketball for his middle school team and hope they win! The “blue house” has slowed down considerably even though we do have guest now and for most of Thanksgiving week. Then we have only two different guest for all of December…been a super great year!
Need to tend to the laundry so I’m getting off here. Have a great weekend, stay warm, and let’s all continue to pray for peace, understanding of others, and that we will all remain a light in a world that’s becoming darker ever day. Love to you all.
Blessings….
