We will be headed back to Kentucky once we feel it’s safe to travel on these “icy” roads…which may be a while yet. There’s no way we’ll make it all the way home today since we’re having such a late start…and will drive at a slow pace until we get out of Kansas…but we will get as far as we feel it’s safe to travel before we’ll stop for the night. Please pray for our safety.
We have had a great time being with Clark, Vanessa, Carter, Lori, Dwayne, and Smitty. We’ve all eaten far more than we should have eaten, laughed lots, played some 42, and watched MANY football games. Our Thanksgiving day was so cold…low 20’s and it rained all day which turned into ice that evening…that none of us got out for the usual “after dinner” stroll. Thanks again, Clark and Vanessa, for your hospitality, love, and generosity.
All reading this…I pray your Thanksgiving day was special and, you too, will arrive home safely, should you be traveling. Now get out those Christmas decorations and knock yourself out making your home festive. I’ll be putting up zero decorations since we won’t be home during that time and I sure don’t want to deal with that when we get back from Florida.
Love to all reading this and watch for some upcoming birthdays soon…as we have many during the month of December.
Blessings…..
