Come on Wednesday….

Just 5 more days and we’ll be headed towards Tennessee to spend Christmas with the twins, along with their parents.  We are really getting excited to see each of them and we know that Christmas morning will be magical once more.  Then on the 26th we will head for Florida and some warmer weather.  So far our Kentucky winter has not been too bad, but even one day of this bitter cold is one day to many for me.

This last week we got some exciting news from Lacey about something she’s been working very hard to achieve.  She has been accepted into the police academy and will begin her training to become a police office in February.  Of course, she’ll always be a EMT/Paramedic, so when she comes upon the injured she’ll know what to do for them.  Congratulations to you, Lacey, and so proud of you for working so hard to achieve your dreams.

Today Chance and Emily are moving into their new-to-them home and they are so excited.  We were with them last night…along with Carter and Lori…and their home is a really nice place.  It’s an older home, has lots of mature trees, beautiful hardwood floors, fenced yard for their dogs, lots of cabinets in the kitchen, plenty of storage, and a garage.  Congratulations to them and they hit the jackpot buying this house and making it into their home.

We had a fun Christmas with the Gabehart’s on Thursday…and everyone was available for dinner!  They all live such busy lives, and it’s nearly impossible to have everyone together at the same time, but it worked out and we were most grateful.  Little Jesse is so sweet and growing like a bad weed…even though he’s on the smaller size in both weight and height.

Branden has settled in in California and hoping to find a job soon.  He was suppose to hear back about a job he had applied for yesterday, but I haven’t heard if he got it.  He’s not a lazy guy, and certainly not afraid of working, so I know he’ll be employed very soon.  Again one of the grandkids fulfilling his dreams!

Carter and Lori are currently here with us…helping Chance and Emily move…and it’s always good to have them around.  They won’t be here long because Chase was coming into Nashville last night and they want to be with him as much as possible.

I’m about out of “juice” on my IPad so guess I’ve rattled on long enough.  Have a great weekend, finish up that shopping and baking, and let’s all enjoy Christmas.  Lorin, you keep getting better, no lifting of any kind for awhile, and stop kissing the sidewalks!  Love to all.

Blessings…..
