George finished the third leg of the triple crown racing events this morning and he did quite well. My theory is…if you didn’t die along the route you’re a winner! He did it in just over two hours which is not bad for a man his age…with a lot more behind him that were a lot younger. The weather was good, got a little warm towards the end, but the hight 60’s is good for running, so I’m told. It’s good for watching, I can attest to that. There were 6600 + runners/walkers for this 10 mile event so he had lots of company. Let’s hope he can recoup quickly.
We’re headed to Campbellsville University, about 1 1/2 hours from here, to go see Chase’s ball team play…hope he’ll get to play some. Since he’s new this semester, he’s still having to prove himself. Carter is going to be there, along with his friend Lori, and we’re looking forward to seeing them. Clark and Vanessa will also be there on there way home from Nashville…met Scott to give him a car he purchased from someone up here. We all seem to stay on the go and with the cost of gas these days you’d think we could afford it!
Have a great weekend and enjoy each day with someone you love!
Blessings…
Every day a man would come home and before entering his house he would hang all his problems on the tree outside the door.
He then would enter his home and have a wonderful evening with his family and sleep well that night.
The next morning he would go to work, stopping at the tree and picking up his problems only to find there were not as many there as had been the night before.
If we would hang our problems on Christ every night we would discover we don’t have as many as we thought we did. He takes care of us, and prayer relieves us of pressing issues before us.
We must have faith that Christ will do this for us.
It works I have tried it.
