Week six….

We finally had a couple of nice days with lots of sunshine, along with a breeze and not a “wind that’s trying to rip your hair off your head”, and some relaxing time on the beach.  But all good things must come to an end, and it did.  Yesterday we were once again back to gale force winds, rain, and temperatures ranging 20-30 degrees below normal.  One day this past week, we were at the beach getting “sand blasted” due to the wind so our bodies have been well exfoliated!  Even the sea gulls were flying in place…they finally just set down in the sand.  We heard that in about a week we’ll be getting even colder temperatures, so I guess we’ll be acclimated back to the wintry weather of home by the time we get there on the 25th.  Sure has been a strange winter here this year…but still better than the snow and cold of KY.

Today is my birthday and I have been blessed with lots of well wishes already.  I don’t feel OLD but by the time you’re 74 I guess what doesn’t work has either fallen off/out so one can never really know how they feel.  I have been blessed with decent health…except for this crazy celiac, a wonderful husband that takes excellent care of me, children that I’m super proud of, grandchildren that are way above the norm, and friends in abundance.  Thank you, Lord!!!  Now I’ll look forward to what this year has in store for me.

The sun is finally shining so guess I’d better get prepared for our daily walk…suppose to rain again later today.  We’ll be going out to dinner tonight to celebrate ME with our friends Ron and Jean and I know that will be fun.  The weeks have flown by and we’ll be headed home in just a couple more weeks so we can help celebrate Sean and Theresa’s wedding.

We’re looking forward to Carter and Lori being here Friday night through Monday night and I sure pray for some sunny days while they are here.  The guys would love to fish, but even the boat captains aren’t very encouraging, so we’ll see if that happens.

Have a good week and I’ll be back later.  Love to you all.

Blessings…..
