Almost home for two weeks….

We have been home from Florida almost two weeks and it just may get a little warmer tomorrow, and Wednesday, before the rain returns. Oh how I have missed those warm days with lots of sunshine…and the BEACH!  We are suppose to get up to the very low 70’s on Tuesday/Wednesday while Englewood will be in the mid 80’s…so not a lot of comparison here…but we do appear to be headed in the right direction.

We will be getting some…hopefully all…of our flower beds cleaned out today and then put down some mulch so the weeds will be discouraged from growing faster than our flowers.  This is always a big job, will make some of our “seldom used” muscles sore, but so pretty when it’s done.  We bought our mulch from Tyler through the fund raising efforts of his high school baseball team and I really think they should include putting the mulch down for all of us seniors!  Just a thought!

Speaking of Tyler…he will be out of baseball for the next 6 – 12 months due to a shoulder injury that will require surgery to fix.  His surgery date is March 22 and I would ask you to all pray for complete healing and minimal amount of pain…I’m having flash backs from my shoulder surgery and it’s not pleasant.  He’s really bummed about missing a year of baseball but it’s a necessary surgery.  Melissa may also be having surgery on her right foot once Tyler gets well but, that will be determined in about a month…she has a torn ligament.  As for the rest of that crew…they are all doing OK as far as I know.

My sister, Linda, will be having surgery this next week (15th) and we are all praying that will go well and she’ll be back to her sweet self ASAP.  George is still doing well and is seeing all kinds of doctors here to try and prevent any further strokes, heart issues, and bummed knees.  Oh the joys of getting older!  Glad I’m doing well and have no major issues beyond my celiac!

Yesterday Chance celebrated his birthday and we are thankful for him.  Chase, also, graduated this past week and is now in the Army special forces group and, as we all know, that’s a very intense and dangerous field.  They are all very well trained and are capable of doing what needs to be done to help keep our country safe, but it’s still scary and dangerous.  Congratulation to Chase and his accomplishments!

Well, the flower beds are not getting cleaned out with me here in the house…I do the raking of leaves and weed removal…and then George will get the mulch down and I spread it out evenly.  Team work at it’s finest!  Have a great week, pray for Linda and her surgery, and know you are all loved by me.

Blessings…..
