What a week we’ve had. I got up last Monday morning with a very painful crick in my neck and it’s taking its good ole time leaving. I have iced it, heated it, tried to stretch those muscle, and it’s still there! Thankfully, it is getting better but it still raises it’s ugly head a couple of times each day. Oh the joys of aging!
We are praying hard for my sister and that she will eventually have complete healing. She did well with her first surgery but, unfortunately, she’ll need to have more before she can start the radiation. Please pray for her healing, her peace of mind, and that she will handle all this like the champ she is. Love you, Linda!
We’ve also had news that our nephew, Buddy, is in the hospital. He’s got some sort of infection in his lungs…coughing non-stop…and they are trying hard to get that all cleared up so he’ll get to go home soon. Also, his mom (Linda), will be having carpel tunnel surgery on the 12th of April so my brother is going to be a very busy nurse for a bit longer.
We are both doing well and thankful for the health we have. Our “blue house” has started getting quite busy…and will remain that way until August…and that’s a good thing. We have some guest there now that love it so much here in Wilmore they are wanting to move here. “Mayberry” is still an attraction to families that love a slower, quieter, and safer place to live.
Baseball season…for the grandsons has started…and that’s caused the cold weather to return. I love watching the different ones play but not when it’s in the 30’s with a nice wind. Give me summer heat any day!!! On the 30th, Blake and Grayson’s team will be playing Tyler’s team in Louisville so that ought to be a really fun game. They are all quite competitive but the “cousin love” will trump it and make for a fun time.
I finally convinced George to get some leaf guards on our house and they were installed this week. I think by the time you’re 73…almost 74…it’s time to stay off that long ladder to clean out the gutters several times each year. They are expensive and do nothing to enhance the looks of the house, but we know they are there and that’s all we wanted. Yeah for the leaf guards!!!
Guess I need to chase some of these dust bunnies out and get ready to go to 3 ball games today…tournament time! Praying for all that are having health issues, spiritual issues, and for the blessings of praising our risen Savior. Happy Easter to all and we are truly a blessed people to know the Lord and feel his love.
Blessings…..
