Sure will be glad when summer arrives…

Yesterday was a day of severe wind that caused lots of damage for some people.  Fortunately we are some of the people that received no damage.  Thank you Lord!  This spring has really been an unusual one since last month we had some very warm days and now we’re going to have freezing temperatures at night for several days this week.  Glad I’ve resisted planting my spring flowers…do have some pansies at the “blue house” and they look as though the freeze may have damaged them a bit last night…but they are suppose to be able to survive these crazy kind of days.  Regardless, I’ve not invested much money in them. so I won’t mind replacing them when our REAL spring arrives.  Our lilac tree and bushes may get damaged but I’m hoping they will be OK.  They were gorgeous last year.

I failed to mention in my last post that Lacey was celebrating her birthday, on March 24th.  She’s one hard working girl and is currently doing her best to survive the police academy.  She said it’s rough, but it won’t get the best of her and she needs to know how to survive on the streets of Louisville, so she’ll keep working hard and stay ALIVE!  I know she had a great birthday celebrating with her friends so…once more Happy Belated Birthday to Lacey!!!  Love you!

Madison has a birthday this Wednesday and she’s quite the girl.  Madi continue to do her best to stay one step ahead of her mom, but Melissa refuses to let her pass her by, so that’s very entertaining.  Happy birthday, Madi, and may this 15th year be a good one with lots of good memories being made, new friends found, and many happy days at school and home.  Love you, sweet girl!

All the Crockett’s are enjoying their spring break in Florida and they said it was beautiful there today.  It’s sunny and nice here in Kentucky but the 30-40 degree temperature difference is what’s making Florida so beautiful!  Tyler is also in Florida with his baseball team and I know that’s fun for him…almost non-stop baseball for a week!  Melissa and Madi are going to Cincinnati for a couple of days once Madi gets home from Chicago…she’s there with her friend’s family…so lots going on there, too.  Scott and Allison got home today from a company trip to Hot Springs which, also, included some time to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.  The twins had fun at their cousins house so they are all happy at this point.  As for all the others…no news is good news!

We are thankful Buddy is back home after nearly a week in the hospital due to an infection.  He’s still not 100% but he’s headed that way.  My sister, Linda, will have her second cancer surgery this Tuesday and we’re praying hard for good results and that all the cancer will be removed this time.  On the 12th Linda Lou is having her carpal tunnel surgery done so I think that will be quite the challenge.  Seems as though we’re all starting to fall apart but guess that’s to be expected when you get as old as we all are getting. Thankfully, George is still doing good except for his knees….bone-on-bone is painful!

Time for our “fire pit” adventure so guess I’ll run for now.  Please pray hard for both Linda’s and that they will both do well with their different surgeries and they will heal very quickly.  Love to you all.

Blessings…..
