George had the procedure on his heart done yesterday and we’re expecting to go home later this morning. He feels good, all reports are coming in as good, the hole has been plugged, and we have been told once more what a blessed man he is to have survived the stroke. He was told that strokes that take place in the brain stem are generally fatal, or they leave you like a vegetable. Praising God for this to not be his case as he’s has no lasting side effects.
Spring has finally sprung and the last few days has been more like a mild summer! I love these warm days, having green grass, beautiful flowers, and windows open to hear the birds singing. So very thankful winter has left the area!
We’re going to Nashville on Thursday to check on Buddy, Linda Lou, and Linda Joyce. Thankfully, they are all doing well but not one of them has gotten back to being 100% just yet. We will continue to pray for them to get to their 100% and know that will happen in due time. We’re also getting some “logs” that Jim got for George when a guy cut down a tree. More beautiful bowls will soon be in the making.
Melissa’s family was hit hard with a virus that’s been going around…thankful she and Madi missed it…this past weekend. They are just now getting back to normal…at least no more puking/pooping non stop…and have settled in at the “grumpy” stage. Get well and be sweet Byron, Tyler, Ryan, and Jesse. Poor sweet Jesse was just plain pitiful!
Guess that’s about it for now. Have a great rest-of-the-week and we can all be envious of Carter and Lori as they are in beautiful Aruba having a blast. Clark caught a BIG bass the other day, Scott & Allison are still remodeling and enjoying all that, Melissa continues to play nurse while selling lots of houses, Tanya is training for a race in Nashville on the 30th, and the grand kids are all busy with either working or finishing up the school year, while George and I are now good and getting older every day! Love to you all.
Blessings….
