Another beautiful week…

Time seems to just be flying by each and every week.  Last week we made a quick trip to Nashville and that was fun getting to see family we don’t see often enough.  We got to visit briefly with LL&B and both Buddy and Linda are doing better.  Linda’s surgery was “a piece of cake”…her words…and her recovery has gone well.  Buddy is still a little “under the weather” but is doing much better and should be through with the infusions soon.  We, also, spent time with Linda and Jim.  Linda is still sore, and in pain somewhat, but said she’s improving very slowly.  She’ll start her treatments soon and we’ll be praying for her during all that…never any fun.  George, also, came home with a car load of logs for his woodworking talents.  Thanks Jim…and your friend that cut down his tree.

George is doing well, for the most part, but we’re still getting all his meds to agree with him.  He’s had no issues with the stroke, his heart is good, and the blood pressure is staying in the acceptable range…thank you, Lord.  He’s been making some pretty wooden pieces in his shop and continues to love doing that, so he’s a happy man!

We went to see the Reds vs. the Cubs on Sunday afternoon and had a great time.  Unfortunately for us Reds fans, they failed to do their best, but for the Crockett Cubs fans, they were thrilled.  It was a beautiful day, and always fun to go to a pro game, but we’d love to see the Reds win…maybe next time.

Jerod came by yesterday to show his graduation gown, etc. and it’s hard to believe his high school days are rapidly coming to an end.  He has excelled in every area, loved it all, but is ready to head to Lipscomb in August.  I’m not sure his Mom is ready for this, but she will adjust and we will all be watching for the great accomplishments he’ll have there.  Kyle is doing well at WKU and loving all his core classes…some of the electives aren’t so great but he’s doing well in all of his classes, regardless.  Lacey is still surviving the police academy and will be through there in just a few more months.  The twins are loving flag football and I know that has to be fun to watch.  Tyler’s shoulder is improving and he’s hoping he’ll be allowed to throw before much longer.  He’s a DH for now and doing quite well at the plate but he’s ready to play the ‘whole’ position.  Therapy and doing what he’s told is paying off, thankfully.  As for all the others, guess they are doing great as there’s no new news to pass along.

Have a great rest-of-the-week and I’ll be back when I have something to share.  Love to you all.

Blessings……
