George caught up…

Yesterday we celebrated George’s birthday by going to a wedding…the daughter of a friend.  It was a very nice affair but the weather sure could have been better.  It was an outdoor wedding and the temperatures were in the mid fifties with a rather nice breeze aka wind.  Everything was suppose to be outside…the wedding and the sit down lunch reception…but the reception was moved inside once the actual wedding was completed.  Regardless, it was a beautiful occasion and we wish Elissa and Erik many happy years together.

We did manage to see Meredith and her prom date before we went to dinner at P.F. Chang’s.  She looked beautiful and had a very handsome date that excited to have Meredith with him.  Jerod, and his date, did their pictures before we got back from the wedding but they, too, looked stunning.  I know it was a fun time and they’ll all be tired today but the memories will be worth it all.

Today, after church, we will be meeting the Crockett’s at one of George’s favorite hamburger places for a second birthday dinner.  We will come back here for his birthday desserts.  Sure hope he’ll like them but I don’t seem to be the cook I use to be…maybe I don’t do enough?  Oh well, it’s the thought that counts, right?

Time to leave for church.  Have a blessed week and I will forever be thankful for George and what he means to me, all the family, and his many friends.  Happy Birthday, once more, and may you be blessed with many more.  Love you!!!

Blessings….
