Memorial weekend….

How can it be Memorial weekend already?  My but this year is just flying by and summer finally arrived…skipped spring for the most part.

This month has had three exciting graduation.  Our first one was for Grayson as he’s graduated from the 8th grade and he is more than ready for high school.  The second graduates were Neyland and Turner as they have graduated from kindergarten and are so excited, and ready, for the first grade.  How can that even be possible?  Then our third, and final graduate for this year, was Jerod.  To say that Jerod excelled in high school is putting it mildly as he graduated with a 4.6447 GPA, earned numerous awards, and a Presidential scholarship to Lipscomb…at least I think that’s what it’s called.  Congratulations to Jerod and may college life be all you’re expecting, and wanting, it to be.  We now have three grandkids with college degrees, one with a paramedic/emt degree, one working on a degree, one new high school graduate, and nine more to go.  Sure hope we live long enough to see all this take place.

Clark had surgery on his left arm this past week and that was declared to be successful, but so very painful.  In two weeks, he’ll get a cast that he’ll wear for 4-6 weeks, and he’ll finish up with weeks of PT to get all his mobility and strength back. To add to the excitement to his life, the day before his surgery, they started the remodel of their lower level to make an “apartment” for Vanessa’s mom and dad that will be living with them…her mom is already there while her dad is wrapping up things in Texas.  Please pray for all of them as they go through this life style change, healing, and lots of patience.

Linda is thrilled she’ll not be doing chemo and we know her healing will be complete once she’s finished with her radiation…definitely an answer to many, many prayers.  Buddy, also, finished up his infusions so guess that means the infection is FINALLY all gone.

Carter and Lori are on their way here and we are so thankful they are coming.  Wie’re having a cookout later today and looking forward to seeing Chance and Emily, all the Crockett’s, and maybe the Gabehart’s.  Should be fun regardless of who finally shows up.  Graduation weekend is a very busy weekend with lots of places, and parties, to attend.

I need to get back to the kitchen.  Have a safe, fun, and happy holiday weekend.  Love to you all.

Blessings…..
