What an absolutely breath taking day it is today for us to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary. That sounds like such a long time…and it really is…but the years have just flown by. Generally we were far to busy just doing life..while missing lots of fun stuff… But we have made many memories we will enjoy forever. We have had, and continue to have, an amazing marriage with both heartaches and times of utter joy. I truly thank God daily for blessing me with George, for all of our beautiful children…and in-law children…, all the foster children I’d love to see again, and of course those awesome grandkids and the one precious great-grandson. We will be going out to dinner tonight to celebrate our marriage and, on Friday, we will be going to Louisville to see the Phantom of the Opera…thank you Melissa and Byron…and spending the night before heading back home on Saturday. Since Mohammad Ali will be having his funeral that same day…and in the same general area of Louisville…traffic may be an issue, along with just crowd control. Should have some exciting memories.
Clark will be getting his cast on his arm on Friday and he said he’s healing well but it’s a really bad time to have his arm in a cast, etc. The remodel on their lower level is going well and should be completed in another 4-6 weeks. Smitty is continuing to spiral downward and is now spending most days in bed and it’s getting harder to get her to eat anything. Vanessa is getting tired but she’s determined to care for her mom until the end…or until she can no longer physically handle all of the care she’ll need. Alzheimer’s disease is a terrible disease. Please pray for all of them.
I really have no new news but just wanted those reading this to know we are still alive, doing well, and enjoying life in Wilmore. May you all have a great rest-of-the-week, stay healthy, while enjoying this season of life…regardless of where you are today. Love to you all.
Blessings…..
