Happy Father’s Day…

There are many good father’s out there but I’ve known, and loved, some of the best.  George has been a fantastic father to our children and was a good role model of what a father should be, how a man should act, and always wanted them to feel the love he had for them.  He certainly wasn’t perfect, but he sure did his best to show them this love he had for them every day.  My dad was also a good dad and I’ve missed him terrible these last two years.  Again, a flawed man but I knew I was always loved and protected.  Our sons, sons-in-law, brothers, brothers-in-law, etc. are all good men that love and value their families and I thank each one of you for the sacrifices you’ve made, and continue to make, for your families.  HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO EACH OF YOU!!!

Yesterday Vanessa’s mom went to be with the Lord and that’s heartbreaking for those left behind, but I am so glad she’s no longer suffering and is now free of her Alzheimer’s disease.  She will certainly be missed.  Vanessa was the best care giver on the planet and showed her mother over and over how much she was loved by her.  Rest, Smitty, and enjoy your new perfect body.

Clark’s arm is healing, but still hurting even with the cast on it, and he’s so ready for this to all be over.  The last few months have been very difficult with Smitty’s illness, Clark hurting his arm, the remodel of their basement, and Vanessa’s parents moving out of their home in Texas and in with Clark & Vanessa.  Please pray that their new “normal” way of life will soon be calmer, no drama, and everyone stay well.  All I can say is…Bless their sweet hearts.

Thankful my sister, Linda, has started her radiation treatment and will soon have all this behind her.  She, too, stays really busy but seems to thrive on that…guess that’s ’cause she’s younger than me…and continues to keep that smile on her face.  Love you, Linda!

Need to get ready for church and another busy day at the “blue house”.  Happy Father’s Day to all these special guys in my life.  I love you all.

Blessings….
