We waited, and waited, for summer to arrive and when it finally did…well, it has been showing off ever since. We have already had many days in the 90’s and many more are predicted. However, no one ever wished for all this humidity! When we went to bed last night around 11 p.m the temperature was still a balmy 80 degrees and the humidity was 81%. This morning it’s a cool 78 with 79% humidity…and I’ll be out walking in this? Oh well, in my book, this still beats the cold, snowy, clothes packing days of winter.
Tomorrow Vanessa’s mom will be laid to rest in Texas, after her battle with Alzheimer’s disease, and that will be a very sad day for all of Vanessa’s family. We tried to work it out to attend but just couldn’t do it with the “blue house” responsibilities, but we are praying for all of them as they all say their final good-byes. Sad, sad time of life.
Tyler has been given the A-OK to get back to baseball and he is more than ready. He’s been able to bat for some time but he can now go back out in the field and throw the ball. Good luck to him as he continues on his road to the pros…at least that’s his dream.
We are extremely busy at the “blue house” until the second week in August and then we’ll get to rest. We only have two nights open throughout this time frame and it’s been this way since May. People love a bargain!
Linda, my sister, is doing well with her radiation treatments and we’re all very thankful for that. I do know that she’s not letting any of this slow her down as she continues to be one busy lady. Gavin has been there to help entertain her while attending a “camp” for robotics at Lipscomb. Won’t be long until this is all behind her and she’ll no longer worry about it.
Guess I need to get to walking as it won’t be getting any cooler…besides we have to clean the “blue house”. Have a great rest-of-the-week and please pray for Clark and Vanessa, along with her family. Love to you all.
Blessings……
