It’s hard to wrap by brain around the fact that summer is half over already. The kids will be back in school in a month…plus a couple of days….and I feel sure they are NOT ready for that. We’ve had a really quiet, but busy, summer and won’t be doing any traveling until October when we go to gulf shores with Carter and Lori. Our “blue house” has been really busy all summer but this is going to slow down once August 11th gets here and we’ll be wondering whatever will we do each day?
Lacey will graduate from the police academy on August 5th and she’s really looking forward to that. I do pray she’ll be safe as the general public seems to not want to be very respectful towards the “people in blue” but here’s hoping that will change very soon. So terribly sad for those in Dallas that were attacked and so many lives lost, or altered. America sure could use some good leadership, examples of kindness, and just learn to do what’s right and respectful.
George and I are still doing well and George is still “patiently” waiting to get his grinder back so he can return to turning all those wood pieces out in his work shop. His grinder has been in the shop for a month (+/-) and the guy said they’re working on it and, I’m sure, waiting on a part. Maybe he’ll get it back next week and he’ll get those tools sharpened and get back to work!
I talked with my sister yesterday and she seems to be doing well and is almost half through with her radiation treatment and that’s a big YEAH!!! They both stay very busy and have been enjoying having Gavin with them for the second half of his “internship?”at Lipscomb.
Jerod had a great 19th birthday on the 7th and now he’s looking forward to college in just about six weeks. Boy these grand kids are growing up so fast! Kyle will be returning to Western for his second year about the same time as Jerod head to Lipscomb, while all the others kids will be anywhere between first and 12th grades.
Guess that’s about it for now. Stay cool as summer has really been showing off these last few days with both the heat and HIGH humidity. Even with all this heat and humidity, I think it is so much better than the cold and snow of winter. We’ll be staying home this winter so I’m praying it will be a mild one. Love to you all!
Blessings…..
