How can I keep my flowers looking good, and beautiful, with the temperatures in the mid to upper 90’s each day? Water twice a day even with guest at the “blue house”. Some days I think those people that put plastic flowers out may be on to something. Regardless, summer has come to the blue grass state with a vengeance and we are being told it will get worse before it’s over….still better than snow and cold!
George should finally get his grinder back today…been at the repair shop for over a month…and he’ll be back in business creating those beautiful bowls. Because of this heat, and his un-air conditioned shop, he may not jump right back into business, but he will be back at it as soon as possible.
We continue to have a busy schedule with the “blue house” but that, too, will be coming to an end by the middle of August….just hit/miss from then until the end of the year. This has been a good year for us, and these summer months have been booked almost solid, so we feel very blessed.
We will be having Pal, Melissa’s dog, come stay with us for the next ten days and that should be interesting. The Gabehart’s are headed to the beach and Pal was not invited! He’s a good dog but he does require a little attention each day. The best part of taking care of him is that he’ll bring me his food bowl when he’s hungry…won’t eat if it’s not his idea.
Not much news so guess I’ll crochet a row, or two, and see if I can finish this afghan by this week-end…I want to work on something else but know I better finish this project first.
Have a good rest-of-the-week and stay cool. Walking in this heat about did me in this morning so guess I need to start earlier or some time after dark. Love to you all and it was so good hearing from all three of my brothers this week…what a blessing and definitely a surprise!
Blessings…..
