Good bye September…

I have mentioned this many times before; but, time really does just FLY by and it’s picking up speed every year.  September has now come and is leaving tonight and the best thing about that is…it’s taking all that humidity with it!  The last few days we’ve had some beautiful fall days and even got some rain which we desperately needed.  Thank you, Lord, for the changing seasons and we can forget about winter, please.  A very long fall with a very early spring would be ever so nice.

Just one more week and we’ll be headed to Gulf Shores with Carter and Lori and I know that will be fun.  The sounds, smells and sights while sitting on the sand will always be a favorite with me.

This weekend is family weekend for Jerod, at Lipscomb, and for Kyle, at Western, but we are not going to attend either one this year.  It’ll be a good time for both families but we’ll see both boys once they get back to our neck-of-the-woods.

Not much happening around here so there’s really nothing to tell you.  The art fairs have started and I know we’ll attend a few even though we seldom buy anything.  Wilmore will have theirs this weekend…ours is usually more craft and less art, but hey it’s Wilmore…as they compete with the BIG St. James Art Fair in Louisville…now Louisville knows how to have an art fair.  St. James is always worth the trip and well worth the time there…even though the parking is sort of tricky most years and there are hundreds of artist selling their stuff.  Schools have an “in service” day so all can attend today!  Fun, fun time and I miss going to it but not enough to drive over to it any more.

Guess I’d better head out for my walk and get that behind me.  Have a great weekend.  I’m looking forward to October and all the birthday’s we’ll be celebrating.  Love to you all.

Blessings…..
