There’s not much going on for me to blog about as things are about the same every day…we get up, do our devotional, walk, etc. The weather has been near perfect every day we’ve been here so far. We’ve had one day that we had to turn the heat on but other than that it’s sunny and warm. Wilmore is a different tale this morning…21 and feels like 4! Yikes!!!
Linda and Jim, along with some of the others, got home from Hawaii last evening and they had an absolutely marvelous time in paradise. I am so happy that they got to go, had perfect weather the entire time they were there, and all the family got to go enjoy it together. Our family is to big, to many going to many different directions, for that to ever happen but it would sure be wonderful.
We got some sad news the other day…Chance and Emily had told us at Christmas that they were going to be parents, but she miscarried this week and they are devastated. Please keep them in your prayers as she’s still having some issues physically and the emotions are overwhelming, I’m sure.
Jerod has been on a medical mission trip to Nicaragua all this week and has had a great experience. He’s learned a lot about the medical field, saw some beautiful sights, faced poverty and the effects of that, and will be coming back home Saturday. Classes will resume on Monday so he won’t have much down time before he’ll be back at it. He’s loving Lipscomb and the campus life so he’ll do just fine.
George has fished a couple of times and that’s been fun…catch and release only. Our friends, Ron and Jean, are here now so we’ve been with them a couple of times and that’s always fun. Have gone to the beach often to people watch, and sunset watch, which is always fun. We’ll be going to a neighborhood pancake breakfast on Saturday morning so we’ll get to know a few more people around here…so far everyone we’ve met have been really nice and friendly. Life is rough in sunny Florida.
Guess that’s about it for now. Going to do some “Susie homemaker” stuff today, which sure doesn’t take long here, before we head over to the beach. Have a great weekend and stay warm. Love to you all.
Blessings….
