Windy in Paradise….

The last few days we’ve had really strong winds so haven’t been to the beach.  Well…we went to the beach yesterday and we were greeted with the tide up really high, waves the largest we’ve seen yet, along with plenty of sunshine.  Not only did we have the high tide and big waves, but the Red Tide was also available…cough, cough.  Regardless, we had a good time at the beach and looking forward to going back today.  It will be cooling down later this week which will mean no beach time for this girl.

We seldom go to the movies at home but we have seen three (3) so far…Fences, LaLa Land, and Hidden Figures…and enjoyed each one of them.  These are all being nominated for some Oscars so we chose good for a change.  Most movies are NOT worth the ticket price but these were.

We enjoyed being with David (George’s cousin) and Sophia last Friday and hearing about all that’s gone on with the Page family since we last visited.  Like most of us, not much going on except just “living life” the best they know how.  We’re hoping to see Teresa and her family at some point but so far we haven’t been able to make a connection.  Teenage children keep a family very busy and we all understand that!

Tomorrow night we are going to a pot luck meal with several of our neighbors and looking forward to that.  The people on our street are all very friendly and have really accepted us into their circle.  On our street there are only two places that have renters, us and our next door neighbors.  A couple of the neighbors are year around residents but most are on the 6 month plan.

Guess that’s about all for now.  Have a good “hump” day and stay warm as we’re hearing colder weather is coming your way.  Love to you all.

Blessings…..
