We have been here for almost six weeks and that just doesn’t even seem possible. The days are just flying by and it’ll be time to head home before long. We do have a great event coming up in February…Chase and Tara’s reaffirming their marriage vowels on a cruise ship. We will be sailing to the Bahama’s and we’re excited about that as we’ve never been there. We, also, have several birthdays to celebrate…Chase (6th), Tyler (7th), Mine (8th), Margie’s (9th…Chipper’s wife), and Turner and Neyland will turn 7 on the 12th. Once we celebrate all the birthday’s, Valentine’s Day, and the cruise we’ll only have one week left here and then it’s back to reality. We know all the BAD weather won’t be over but we pray we will have missed the better part of it. I am NOT a lover of cold!
It’s a cool rainy day today and that’s about the extent of the winter’s cold for down here…high in the 60’s will bring the winter coats out and all the natives claiming it’s freezing. Since most are from the north, I guess they have forgotten what cold really is.
We enjoyed the Venice art fair yesterday and it was way better than it was last year…and much larger. As usual, we are only lookers as most of the things would not go with our Kentucky decor back in Wilmore. They have lots of jewelry at all these fairs, but I’m overloaded with to much already so that’s not even tempting. I do find some ideas for things George can create in his wood shop from some of those work worker booths…not sure I’ll remember what they are when we get back home.
We, also, enjoyed a fun evening with many here on Thursday night. They had a pot luck meal…each table of 10 bring their own menu…and then a couple from here entertained us. They are quite good and sing for several other events around the area. It was an enjoyable evening and the food was good.
Almost time for worship so guess I’ll close for now. Have a good week, stay warm as we’re hearing accumulating snow is coming to a lot of you that read my blog. Love to you all.
Blessings…..
