Let me count the ways that I detest winter…bitter cold days/nights…windchill in the teens…gloom and more gloom…no desire to go outside, even for a little bit, therefore walking not taking place. Now let me count the days as to why I enjoyed my ten weeks in Florida…plenty of sunshine, warm days and cool nights, not one gloomy day, able to walk daily, spent lots of time outside, especially at the beach. I am so over these cold days we’ve had since we’ve gotten home and I am so ready for warm, sunny days! Rant over…for now!
We have been blessed to have Kyle come visit us for the last couple of days and that has been fun. I’m sure he gets bored…I remember visiting grandparents…but he said he’s not bored and he just likes visiting with us. He is absolutely no trouble as he’s very compliant, eats whatever I fix, and always very mannerly. Good job done Mom! Hopefully, when he comes the next time it will be decent weather and some fishing might even happen. One can only hope! Opps almost slipped back into my rant!
Not a lot happening around here as it’s to cold to get out to do much. We did go and see “Shack” last week and it was just OK. If you aren’t a believer I’d think that movie would make absolutely no sense to you. It was entertaining, and I’ve seen worse movies, and the pop corn was good so it wasn’t a total bust.
George has tried working in his shop some, but that doesn’t last long since his shop is not heated. I’ve been doing some crocheting while waiting for the warm days to come back, so you can see our exciting lives continue on. I really would like to start working in the flower beds but that will have to wait a little longer.
Guess that’s about it for now. Chance had a good birthday on the 6th and Lacey is going to be having one on the 24th…Vanessa is in Louisville to help her celebrate so I know that will be a fun time for them. Pray that all reading this are doing well, staying well, and looking forward to warmer days…all but my sister that LOVES these bitter cold days. Love to you all.
