Almost caught up….

After a solid week of “doing nothing” but having fun, it’s hard trying to get caught up at home.  We did have a good week with the Gabehart family, minus two, even though the weather was certainly less than perfect.  We did manage sunshine most days but the temperatures were in the upper 60’s, to low 70’s, most days with extremely strong winds.  We did enjoy some beach time, watched four baseball games…our reason for being in Myrtle Beach…and we topped the week off by celebrating Madi’s 16th birthday.  Thanks again, Melissa and Byron, for including us in your spring break activities.

We had LOTS of traffic all the way home from Myrtle Beach but finally made it after a 10 1/2 hour ride.  We unloaded the car and then hit the “blue house” to start getting it ready for the next group coming in…a family left Saturday morning and more came in Sunday afternoon.  Sunday’s are a hard day to get the house back together since most of the morning is taken up with worship time, but by doing some Saturday night and then finishing it up before church on Sunday, we managed to get it all done.  From now until the fall, we’re quite busy at the “blue house” and we are ever so thankful…sure gives us quite a bit of fun monies that we certainly enjoy spending.

I know it’s rather early, but I am going to go get some spring flowers and plant a few today.  Of course, we could still have some really cold nights, but I’m willing to take the risk.  Today is an absolutely gorgeous day and it appears spring may just be here to stay…there was virtually NO winter to speak of this year so I’m betting summer may be another HOT one.  Crazy weather!

Guess I’d better get out and get my walk in before I head to Lowe’s.  Have a fantastic week and enjoy these beautiful days.  Love to you all.

Blessings….
